The tale of Krishna

Mentioned in many philosophical, theological and mythological texts of India, Krishna could be considered as a god of compassion, love and tenderness. For example, he can appear allegorically in the guise of a facetious child thief of butter, as in the Bhagavata Purana, a comely teenager with a flute charming women of Vrindavan, as in the Bhagavad Geeta, or a counselor and chariot driver for the great warrior Arjuna, his cousin.
